[ Yang wasn't really the tourist type of person, even for being new to the city. Like anything, she kind of took it in stride and quickly adapted to the city life. She hadn't really bothered to take the time to really get a good look at the statues, but as a child of the fire nation she had learned enough about the statues and what they stood for. ]

A fan, huh? [ While the statue itself didn't interest her much, the person standing bellow it today sure did. ] I like your tattoos.

[It's one of the less hostile reactions so he's grateful for that at least. He sheepishly rubs at his neck as he turns to face the stranger.]

Ummmm... Sure! [At the moment, he thinks it's better to stay on the down-low about his identity.] Thanks! They're really neat, huh? I like your hair!

Really? It is pretty great, isn't it, [ She smiles, running her hand through the back of her hair. Yang took great pride in her hair and it pleased her that someone else appreciated it. ] Are you an air bender? I'm fire nation myself, but I always loved the whole air nomad look. I'm just waiting for it to make a come back.

[ She pauses. ] Oh yeah, I'm Yang, by the way-- It rhymes with this guy's name here! [ Grinning stupidly, she hooks her thumb at the statue. ]

[Aang will always appreciate flowing locks because hey, it's something he'll never have! At least he won't ask for a piece of it like his grandson.

He chuckles sheepishly as as he glances towards the statue, hoping it doesn't blow his cover.]

I am an airbender. And... thanks? I sure think a comeback would be nice, too!

That's a nice name. It's nice to meet you, Yang. Y'know... my name kinda rhymes with that too!

[ Lucky for both of them, if he would have he may have just gotten a fistful of fire in the face, and Yang would hate to have to later explain punching The Avatar.

He's not the only air bender she knows, so for now she she shrugs it off. ] My little sister is an airbender, it's why we're here. I'm not sure how she'd feel about shaving her head and tattooing herself, but we're hoping to find someone to teach her how it's really done.

It's nice to meet you too, but now you're going to have to tell me your name. [ She just loves puns and things like that. ]

She is? That's great! I'd love to meet her sometime and help her. It's not as bad as it sounds... Shaving your head's a personal choice, and you only get tattoos when you're a master.

Oh! And... my name! Well.... ummmm.... it's.... Aang! ....But with three a's?

Oh, good. [ She's relieved to hear that. ] No offense, I just don't think Ruby would look very good without hair-- It looks great on you though, obviously. [ Though, something she said just hit her. ] Wait, does that mean you're a master? But you're so young! I always imagined masters as, well... really old.

Three a's? [ She laughs. ] That's a little excessive, isn't it? Your parents must have really been fans of Aang. [ Not that it wasn't uncommon to be named after ancestors or popular historical figures or anything. ]Well, it really is nice to meet you, Aaang.

[Aang gives a soft laugh.]

Thanks! And you're right. That makes me a master. I'm... a quick learner. Yeah, that's it! [It's not exactly a lie; he did master airbending by the age of 12.]

Maybe it's just a little excessive! But you can call me just Aang for short. [He rubs at his head sheepishly.] I guess they must've been big fans. But it is good to meet you, Yang. Do you need help finding your way around here?

Impressive. That sure takes dedication and skill, I'd love to see you in action some day-- Though, I think I'd rather it not be against you. [ She laughs again. She had a while to go before she'd even consider herself a master of her own elemental. ]

Okay, Aang it is. It's nice to meet you too, but I think I got it down. I can find my apartment, food and the Pro Bending arena. I think I at least have the basics down.

I'd be glad to show you sometime! Luckily, airbending's easy to demonstrate without it having to be against anything! [He says sheepishly. And he laughs some more at her second comment.]

I didn't know that probending was one of the basics! But at least I can help you around the air temple whenever you wanna meet with your sister there.

[ She grins in response. ] You can say that about any element, really.

Well... maybe it's not a basic, but I want to be a Probender! So, it's only natural to know where the arena is, right? Right? [ She shrugs, laughing. ] Yesss, I'm so scoring some bigger sister points with this one. I really owe you one, Aang. Whatever I can do in return, just name it.

[Aang beams at her, happy with that response.] Don't think much of it. I'm glad enough to help you with your sister points! I like to think of good deeds as their own reward. And I guess I also don't really want anything right now?

Exactly! [ Yang liked this kid already and she just knew him and Ruby would get along swimmingly. Or was it flyingly for airbenders? ]

If you're sure, but don't forget about me if you ever do need anything. I don't care what it is, whatever you need just call on me and I'm there.

Hey, dependable is my middle name! [ She crosses her arms over her chest and smirks. ] I'll keep that promise, no matter what. Got it? So don't think you can get away with just letting it slide.

[ Yes, Aang. She's totally pegged you for the nice guy and knows how nice guys can be. ]

[ It's okay, the only reason she has him down so easily is because he's so much like her little sister. She seriously can't wait for them to meet. ]

The kind with your hands, doof. Look, like this. [ She sticks out her own hand. ] Now, here's where you take your hand with mine.

Like dancing? [He smiles as he takes her hand.]

Kind of, only we don't dance next. We give a firm handshake, like this-- [ And just as instructed, she gives his hand a good shake. ]

[ Yang laughs. She really does like this kid, he's funny in the doofy way and that was okay by her book. ] Okay, now for a cool kid's handshake.

[ This time she directs him through a really intricate and slightly silly (okay, a lot silly) handshake. ]
